July 9-14, STEPHENSON COUNTY FAIR. Stephenson County Fairgrounds, 2250 S. Walnut Road, Freeport. 8 am to 10 pm. Old fashioned county fair, with food, carnival rides, animals, entertainment, tractor pulls, Home Ec displays, youth night, musical entertainment, commercial exhibits, 4-H and more. Gate Admission: Season Passes: $20 ($18 thru July 6); Daily Admission: Tuesday: $5; Wednesday thru Saturday: Adults: $7; Children 8 thru 11: $2; Children 7 and Under: Free; Sunday: All Ages Free. July 9: Pearl Valley Farms Youth and Family Night, 6 pm, Free
Youth from all over the county enjoy compete in the Ag Olympics, pig scramble, and chicken scratch.
July 10: FMX Freestyle Motocross National Championship Series; 7:30 pm, Free
An exciting show with motorbikes flying through the air.
July 11 and 12: Lucas Oil Midwest Summer National Truck and Tractor Pull, Noon – $5 and 6 pm – $10
These national pulls are the best in the region.
July 13: Kellie Pickler, 8:30 pm, Reserved Track Seats – $20; General Grandstand Seats – $12 ($10 thru July 6)
Tickets go on sale June 10 at 9 am.
July 14: Demo Derby, 2 pm – $10
Throughout the week:Livestock shows, Home-Ec and 4-H exhibits, Commercial exhibits, Zoli the woodcarver with the woodcarving auction on Saturday at 6 pm, and the High Flying Pages – Trapeze Superstars.
The Stephenson County Fair welcomes a brand new carnival this year: Miller Spectacular Show. They will be open from 2 pm to close everyday. Wristbands are good all day, any day for $25 ($20 thru July 6).
