The year 1967 in film involved some significant events. It is widely considered as one of the most ground-breaking years in film, with the “revolutionary” films in this series highlighting the change. The featured movies are: October 4: Bonnie and Clyde starring Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, Gene Hackman, Estelle Parsons: Bonnie Parker, a bored waitress falls in love with ex-con Clyde Barrow and together they start a violent crime spree through the country, robbing cars and banks; October 11: Wait Until Dark starring Audrey Hepburn, Alan Arkin, Richard Crenna: A recently blinded woman is terrorized by a trio of thugs while they search for a heroin-stuffed doll they believe is in her apartment; October 18: Cool Hand Luke starring Paul Newman, George Kennedy, Strother Martin: Luke Jackson is a cool, gutsy prisoner in a Southern chain gang who, while refusing to buckle under to authority keeps escaping and being recaptured; October 25: The Graduate starring Anne Bancroft, Dustin Hoffman, Katharine Ross: Ben, a recent college graduate, has an affair with the wife of his father’s business partner. It comes back to haunt him when he finds himself starting to fall in love with her daughter; October 29: Camelot starring Richard Harris, Vanessa Redgrave, Franco Nero: The story of the marriage of England’s King Arthur to Guinevere.
