A Day in Rock City
July 20-21, A DAY IN ROCK CITY. Downtown, Rock City. Friday: 9 pm to 1 am; Saturday: 6:30 am to 2 am. Celebrate a great day with Rock City’s annual community festival which includes a parade, music, 3 on 3 basketball tournament, street dance, food, Swiss Canoe Races, fireworks and a beer garden. 8 am: Sign up/check in for SimPol Steps Fun Run & 5K – North end of Main Street/Horseshoe
8:30 am: SimPol Steps Kids Fun Run – $10 per child 10 and under
9 am: SimPol Steps 5K Run/2.5 Walk – $20 per person ages 11 and over
9 am – 4 pm: Gary Raetz Memorabilia Display – United Methodist Church
9 am – 4 pm: Rock Run Historical Society Display – Rock City Historical Building
9 am: Sign in for 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament – $10 per person/4 person team
9:30 am: 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament – Downtown in front of the US Bank
10:30 am: Parade – Starting at Douglas, north on Jackson Street to Jefferson Avenue, east on Jefferson to Clay, south on Clay to Market & west on Market back to Jackson Street
11:30 am: Kids Waterfights - near the Old Fire Station – Sponsored by Rock City Firemen
11:30 am – 3:30 pm: Pony Rides – North Main Street
11:30 am – 6 pm: Butterfly Pork Chop Dinner – by the Rock City Fire Department at the Fire Station on Rock City Road
11:30 am – 6 pm: Silent Auction Rock City Fire Department
12:30 pm: Pie & Cake Walk – Under the tent – Main Street
2 pm: Firemen Waterfights – sponsored by the Rock City Firemen by the Old Fire Station
